This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for DIB/MRTFB Positions to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serves as a first line supervisor in the Metal Forming and Welding branch responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing work for machinist and welding functions.

Duties

Establish deadlines, priorities, work sequences and plans work assignments based on general work schedules. Determine resource requirements and material necessary to accomplish work for metal fabrication components. Assure that equipment and supplies are maintained and properly used. Assign and explain work requirements and operation instructions. Plan current and future work schedules, budget request and materials needed.

Must possess the ability to give directions to a number of employees in accomplishing trades and labor work associated with the implementation establishing deadlines and prioritizing work methods and policies. I can pass on instructions received from supervisor, demonstrate work procedures, check work for compliance and provide status reports. - Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating.
