As a Program Specialist (HPP Case Specialist) you will be responsible for tracking Harassment Prevention cases from initial inquiry until the status changes for closure.
The selectee must reside within a 50 mile radius of an ORMDI field office or VA facility.
Duties
Provide guidance on harassment prevention complaints processing.
Respond to incoming calls regarding employee complaints.
Provide training and technical advice on harassment prevention policy.
Conduct harassment prevention compliance reviews.
Manage and track assigned harassment caseload.

Qualifications
Specialized Experience:
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religions; spiritual; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

To qualify for the GS-11, applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade (GS9) in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.Specialized experience is defined as work that involves (1) Receiving Harassment Prevention Cases for upload into tracking database; (2) Monitoring and tracking a database to ensure accuracy and compliance; (3) Preparing correspondence and other documents to explain Harassment Prevention policies and procedures.
Or applicants may substitute education for the experience required to qualify at the GS11 level: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or a LL.M.
To qualify for the GS-12 applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade (GS-11) in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Specialized experience is defined as work that involves (1)Evaluating complex Harassment Prevention and EEO cases to determine trends and other influences in an organization's climate (2) Providing technical counsel to management officials on harassment complaints; (3) Preparing, and conducting training and/or education on Harassment Prevention and EEO.
