The primary purpose of a Commissary Contractor Monitor is to conduct quality assurance inspections and contract surveillance duties of specified commissary stocking, order-writing, custodial, receiving, holding, and/or contracted services performed in a Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) facility.

Duties

Conduct quality assurance inspection and contractor surveillance. Provide comments and recommendation for additions, deletions, or changes to contractor services to ensure compliance with DeCA directives. Approve or reject contractor's work schedule and checks work for quality and timeliness. Maintain the store's space allocations program by such duties as designating to the contractor proper item shelf locations when shelf tags are missing or otherwise not identifiable. Advise commissary or contracted order writers. Act as the commissary manager's representative during the night time hours to ensure government property is secure. Requirements

Qualifications

You must meet the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) qualifications for series 1101 and additional requirements by the announcement closing date. Your resume must clearly show that you have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least GS-5. Experience can be under other Federal service pay systems, private sector, or military. Examples of qualifying specialized experience: Conducting quality assurance inspections and contract surveillance duties of specified commissary or retail grocery contracted services. Apply retail grocery store administration policies and procedures as they relate to established contracts. Monitoring vendors and/or contractors in a retail setting to ensure proper inventory. You will receive credit for all relevant qualifying experience (paid and unpaid), including volunteer work done through National Service program (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Physical requirements: (1) Stand, stoop, kneel, bend and climb for prolonged periods. You will attest to your ability to perform these physical requirements in the Questionnaire.
