Duties

Establish workflow and functional assignments and assigns work to meet demands. Set priorities and prepares schedules for work completion.; modifies schedules to accommodate changes and provides for unexpected deadlines. Perform supervisory personnel management functions for employees in the assigned work area. Ensure office supplies and equipment are sufficient to meet mission. Conduct the military personnel assessment and support of unit advance party (ADVON) in-processing for mobilization. Obtain information and data from a variety of sources. Complies and analyzes data to identify trends, deficiencies, and accomplishments.

Requirements

  • The employee may be required to work overtime to include weekends and federal holidays, out of cycle, or unscheduled training or on an emergency basis.
  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Employee must obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) applying the principles, practices, and procedures involved in administering military personnel actions; and 2) using personal computers to input, extract, query, and research data in military personnel database systems, as well as performing office applications. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Administration or Human Resources Management. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: AccountabilityManages and Organizes InformationManaging Human ResourcesWritten Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07). All applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade and specialized experience requirements within thirty (30) days after the closing date of the announcements.
