This position is in the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center, 1300 Pennsylvania Ave., NW., Washington, DC, in the E&E's Technical Support Office, Democracy and Governance Division (E&E/TSO/DG) , at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).
Duties
Regional subject matter expert on gender, youth, and inclusive development.
Advisor on issues related to gender, youth and inclusive development challenges in the Europe and Eurasia region.
Designs, procures, and monitors development assistance programs.
Serves as liaison and/or point of contact on Agency and Interagency fora on gender, youth, and inclusive development.
Prepares, drafts, reviews, and edits briefing material, fact sheets, communications, and other written information products.
Requirements
- United States Citizenship is required.
- Relevant experience (see Qualifications below).
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- Time in grade must be met by the closing date of the vacancy announcement.
- Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered with the Selective Service.
Qualifications
Specialized Experience:
GS-14: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 level in the Federal service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Examples of qualifying specialized experience at the next lower level for this position includes:
Providing expert D&I advice to senior management, addressing cultural and social issues and their impact on the workforce to cultivate an inclusive environment.
Leading talent management initiatives and spearheading cutting-edge D&I programs, practices, and procedures to foster a diverse and inclusive workplace.
Guiding strategic planning, change management, and implementation processes, linking objectives, goals, and initiatives to identified strategies to drive organizational success.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience relevant to the position's duties to be filled, including volunteer experience.
