About the Position: Incumbent serves as the Installation and Range Branch Integrated Training Area Management (ITAM) Program Coordinator, in the Range Branch.

Duties

Coordinate by communicating with other ITAM programs. Present briefings at professional meetings such as the Training Support System (TSS) Annual Workshop. Ensure training mission requirements are included in land management decision processes. Advise on the capacity of land resources to support training requirements and risks associated with exceeding that capacity. Work under the administrative supervision of the Chief, Range Branch, Training Division - DPTMS

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance and access.
  • This position requires that the employee occasionally travel away from the normal duty station up to 25% of the time.
  • The employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include overtime, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license, and any installation, DOD and/or Federal license or certification required for vehicle operated. Must complete the Army Accident-Avoidance Course.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid State “Class A” Commercial Driver's License.
  • May be required to wear and/or use protective clothing and equipment in accordance with established health and safety regulations.
  • May be exposed to hazardous and toxic substances and environment during inspections of firing ranges and training areas.
  • Will be required to enter the impact area after areas have been cleared.
  • This position is covered by the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program. Incumbent is required to sign a DA Form 5019-R and must pass a urinalysis test as required prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Incumbent is required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, (5CFR Part 2634, Subpart I Confidential Financial Disclosure Reports) upon entering the position.
  • Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, (5CFR Part 2634, Subpart I Confidential Financial Disclosure Reports) must be submitted annually, in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R, Joint Ethics Regulation, dated 17-Nov-2011.
  • Designated Drug Testing Position.
