About the Position: This position is located in San Antonio with the Defense Health Agency.

Duties
Assists high level program officials and staff personnel in the development of overall goals and objectives for the assigned staff functions, programs, and program segments.
Delegates authority to subordinate supervisors, outlines policy and overall program requirements and objectives, and coordinates and monitors the execution of assigned functions.
Encourages employee mentoring, growth and development.
Manages the information systems architecture in relation to assigned projects.
Develops and applies technical policy to include standards, protocols, and data administration techniques to effectively integrate and implement information systems.
Assists in the coordination of a variety of complex and unusual security issues with command, Department of Defense (DOD), and Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) security officers for security vulnerability.
Establishes and maintains a comprehensive quality assurance program for diverse platforms that covers file back-up and recovery, equipment maintenance, and quality control of system processing and outputs.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- One-year trial/probationary period may be required.
- One-year supervisory probationary period will be required.
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.

Basic Requirement for SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (ENTERPRISE ARCHITECTURE/INFOSEC), GS-2210-14:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes developing long range work plans for in-service and/or contracted work, advising staff regarding policies and procedures, and assisting with the proposal of new and innovative information technology architecture and security requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
