About the position: Provides a variety of technical assistance and administrative support to the State Office Farm Program Division. Duties

The incumbent provides a variety of technical assistance and administrative support to the State Office Farm Program Division Specialists with the administration of a variety of FSA Farm Programs. Provide assistance in maintaining State Office Farm Program files; analyze and compile a variety of reports; assemble documents and organize materials of a variety of program related topics and functions. Perform clerical assignments and technical work in support of State Office functions. Perform clerical and technical assignments, prepare file folders, and perform varied levels of written and verbal correspondence involving e-mail, phone and written letter communications.

Qualifications

The Pathways Recent Graduate Program is for recently graduated or graduating individuals who are looking for developmental experiences in the Federal Government intended to promote possible careers in the civil service. Recent Graduates will serve on this appointment for one year learning the fundamentals of the position for which they can be converted. If you meet the area of consideration identified in "This job is open to" and "Clarification from the agency" above, your application will be reviewed to determine if you meet the qualifications of the grade level(s) you apply for. (NOTE: You must attach a copy of your transcripts. Failure to submit transcripts will result in an ineligible rating.) For the GS-5 level, an applicant must have: Four years of education above high school in an accredited business, secretarial or technical, junior college, college or university in any field in which high school graduation or the equivalent is a prerequisite -OR- Applicant must have one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the GS-4 level in the Federal service or private sector equivalent applying office methods and procedures to provide clerical and limited technical support to any program -OR- A combination of post-high school education (in excess of the first 60 semester hours) and the specialized experience described above. For the GS-6 level, an applicant must have: One full academic year of graduate education or master's or higher-level graduate degree from an accredited college or university with a major in finance, business administration, economics, accounting, engineering, mathematics, banking and credit, law, statistics, or other fields related to the position, such as agriculture, agricultural economics, farm, livestock or ranch management, or rural sociology -OR- Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the GS-5 level in the Federal service or private sector equivalent applying office methods and procedures to provide clerical and limited technical support to process and support agricultural programs. For the GS-7 level, an applicant must have: One full academic year of graduate education or master's or higher-level graduate degree from an accredited college or university with a major in finance, business administration, economics, accounting, engineering, mathematics, banking and credit, law, statistics, or other fields related to the position, such as agriculture, agricultural economics, farm, livestock or ranch management, or rural sociology -OR- Applicant must have one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the GS-6 level in the Federal service or private sector equivalent applying office methods and procedures to provide clerical and limited technical support to independently perform a full range of program processes. College Transcript:
