This position supports recreational, administrative and reservation needs of the outdoor program of Jim Creek Recreation Center- Naval Station Everett.

Duties

Incumbent will perform a variety of duties connected with providing accommodations for guests at Jim Creek which is a regional outdoor recreation area providing lodging, cabins, campsites, picnicking and related activities. Serves as a collection agent who collects fees from customers associated with retail, rental items, classes and various other programs. Checks in and out equipment and inspects equipment upon return. Report any damages on equipment, requisition merchandise, ensures adequate stock levels to Supervisor. Answers telephones, provides information and tours of facilities and handling of reservations. Prepare mess items or snack bar menu items or pre-packaged retail items, ordering supplies, opening and closing of facility, checking badges for authorized users of recreation facilities and equipment. Assists in administering traditional and non-traditional workshops, clinics, and events in a variety of outdoor skills areas including but not limited to camping, cycling, sailing, backpacking, canoeing, snow skiing, hiking or water sports. Ensures safety and sanitation. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

CPR First Aid certification and current Food Handler certification or can obtain within 90 days of employment. Strong customer service techniques Knowledge of computers, office procedures and written instructions Cash handling skills Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
