Support the Military's Quality of Life programs! The Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) department of Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC) provides fitness, recreation, lodging and food and beverage programs for service members, their families, retired military and civilian employees. This position is located at the Liberty Center aboard Naval Station Everett.

Duties
Incumbent will be assigned primarily to the Liberty center to provide direct customer service to patrons using the facility.
Responsibilities may include greeting customers, answering telephone calls, providing information regarding the facility and programs. Incumbent assists with planning, coordinating, promotion and execution of scheduled programming, and special events.
Checks Liberty Center equipment and resources in and out, collects any applicable fees, inventories items and completes inspections upon return.
May be required to drive an 8 or 15 passenger van, keep trip records, participant counts, and custody of equipment. Distribute information.
Responsible for collection and safeguarding of any funds that may be collected as a result of a fee or change. Light housekeeping, and other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Successful completion of National Agency Background (NACI) Check required.
- This position may require the incumbent to be available to work special events, weekends and holidays.
- A valid state driver’s license and High School Diploma or equivalent.
- This position is required to do considerable standing, bending, stooping, walking, pushing, reaching, climbing and lifting of objects weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain food handler’s certification, CPR and First Aid within 90 days of hire.
Qualifications
Must have one-year practical work experience including direct customer service or experience with data entry, word processing, internet, e-mail, etc.
At least one-year experience handling cash and utilizing point of sale system.
Ability to perform basic mathematical computations and communicate effectively and courtesy, using proper English both verbally and in writing.
Must be able to follow verbal and written directions, and present a neat and clean appearance.
Education
A minimum of high-school diploma or equivalent is required for this position.
