This position will support the division's records management program by maintaining a reliable electronic filing system, assisting with the processing of information, and providing Freedom of Information requests. Maintaining a division-wide directive management program and working to maintain a regional records management program (including electronic records). Developing, updating, and implementing directive management internal procedures, training plans, course materials, and methods.

Qualifications

All qualifications and eligibility requirements must be met by the closing date of the announcement. To qualify for this Records and Information Management Specialist position at the IC-09 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the IC-07 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the Federal or Private Sector and must demonstrate all of the following: Ensuring compliance with policies and retention schedules for records management, Maintaining paper files and electronic record systems; and Providing guidance on the storage and dispositioning of records. OR Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related. OR Combination of education and experience. To qualify for this Records and Information Management Specialist position at the IC-11 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the IC-09 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the Federal or Private Sector and must demonstrate all of the following: Participating in the planning and/or management of records management programs, including training staff on the rules and regulations regarding records management; Creating on-the-job training, job aides, or user guides in support of records management; and Performing tasks related to records management. OR Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. OR Combination of education and experience To qualify for this Records and Information Management Specialist position at the IC-12 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the IC-11 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the Federal or Private Sector and must demonstrate all of the following: Planning and/or managing records management programs, including training staff on the rules and regulations regarding records management; Developing records and information management policies; and Analyzing and/or evaluating information related to records management to develop records disposition schedules and other programs.
