About the Position: This position is located at Ft. Novosel, Alabama, home of the United States Army Aviation Center of Excellence. Fort Novosel is located in the "Wiregrass" area in Southeast Alabama, surrounded by Enterprise, Ozark and Daleville. The geography and climate are ideal for year round military training. Recreation activities are abundant in the immediate and surrounding areas for family and fun.

Duties

Provides oversight to AH-64D/E Longbow Apache crew training instructor providing graduate and undergraduate level aviation simulation and crew cockpit procedural training, and developing and revising course instructional materials and lesson plans. Conducts cockpit and classroom instruction in AH64D/E academics and crew procedures. Applies a combination of instructional methods and techniques such as conference/lecture, demonstrations, practical exercises, seminars, programmed instruction, self-paced learning and case studies. Serve as Education Specialist/Course Developer responsible for developing, editing, standardizing, and revising lesson plans for AH64D/E.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance.
  • Must obtain and maintain Instructor training certification, Common Faculty Development per TRADOC regulation 350-70 within 6 months of employment.
  • Per TRADOC Regulation 370-70, personnel who are assigned to a faculty position will re-certify every five years
