About the Position: Serves as a Supervisory Range Specialist facilitating the support of training, material control, quality assurance, utilities and facility support, safety, live-fire evaluation and control (surface danger area evaluation and management), security, and technical and business management.

Duties

Coordinate and oversee the operation of multiple live-fire ranges and training areas within area of assigned responsibility. Plan, direct, and supervise subordinates' work. Prepare formal request for filling vacancies or for additional personnel to meet workload requirements. Establish, maintain, and provide accountability for an approved inventory of parts, supplies, and targets.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
• This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
• This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
