About the Position: Serves as the Chief of Managed Care and Clinical Support focused on providing consistent and accurate data-driven information and recommendations to the executives of Kirk U.S. Army Health Clinic. Supervises the call center and referral management sections. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Duties

Program development, execution, and analysis in the areas of managed care and clinical support. Responsible for the analysis of systems and programs which include, but are not limited to, the clinic-wide call center system operations and maintenance; integration of the appointing, schedules and templates with strategic goals and objectives. Develop and perform comparison studies on a wide variety of systems and programs to identify and make recommendations regarding existing programs. Evaluate workload distribution and performs cost benefit analysis. Develop standard operating procedures (SOP) or other guidelines for performance of recurring operations. Conduct data analytics (data-mining) and advises on clinical information systems support. Serve as the appointing program manager and system administrator for the MICROLOG appointing system. Directly supervises five to seven Medical Support Assistants in the Appointment Call Center and Referral Management Center, and Health Systems Specialist/Referral Manager. Use and manage web based applications in the coordination and reporting of beneficiary care.

Requirements

• This position requires the employee to occasionally travel (no more than 5% of the time, in the most expedient manner) away from the normal duty station.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes program development, execution, and analysis in the areas of managed care and clinical support. Data analysis (data-mining) and clinical information systems support. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or with a major study in hospital administration, public health administration, or related fields such as business or public administration with course work in health care administration. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
