This position is part of the, African Development Foundation. The incumbent will be responsible for supporting USADF (both domestically and internationally) in various duties, primarily in international grant preparation and maintenance, travel arrangements, and administration management.
Duties
Prepare the international grant and project amendment documentation for review process and grant amendments for approval; and receive and distribute fully executed grant documentation.
Assist the staff in arranging international and domestic travel.
Provide advice on the Federal Travel Regulations.
Provide technical and administrative oversight of operations.
Coordinate staff responsible for accountability of administrative supplies and equipment, publications and forms, printing, property management, space management, records management, and mail service.
Perform functions designed to analyze and independently resolve difficult issues and problems pertaining to administrative operations.
Qualifications
At the GS-09 level, you must have one year of experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal Service. Specialized experience includes: Preparing international grant and project amendment documentation for the review process and grant amendments for approval. Assist with arranging international and domestic travel, and provide administrative and management support activities for projects.
OR
B. Master's or equivalent graduate degree OR 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LLB. or J.D., if related. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.
OR
C. A combination of education and experience as listed above. Only experience and education obtained by the closing date of this announcement will be considered.
At the GS-11 level, you must have one year of experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal Service. Specialized experience includes: Prepare the international grant and project amendment documentation for the review process and grant amendments for approval. Arrange international and domestic travel. Provide a wide variety of administrative and management support activities for projects and programs. Manage the property and logistical planning within the office; brief supervisor on actions required and follow-up on action taken; and maintain a repository of reusable office supplies and equipment.
OR
A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; or LL.M., if in a related field

A Combination of education and experience as list above.
