Duties
Provide leadership and direction to senior leaders in the formulation and execution of various specialized work assignments involving management and policy initiatives, complex and controversial issues, and analyzing policy information as it relates to the organization.
Formulate, develop, and establish long-range goals and objectives for special work assignments in accordance with senior leaders and key stakeholders.
Facilitate coordination among senior leaders, key stakeholders and diverse groups in completing assigned projects in accordance with policy information and initiatives.
Represent the organization in negotiations, mediation, meetings, and conferences to discuss and resolve complex and controversial issues.
Manage and implement program initiatives including specific program work, management improvements, organization configuration, evaluation of program objectives and operations.
Maintain communication with senior leaders and key stakeholders.
Qualifications
In order to be rated as qualified for this position, the HR Office must be able to determine that you meet the specialized experience requirement - this information must be clearly supported in the resume.
To qualify at the GS-13, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to at least the GS-12 level in federal service having demonstrated at least four of the following: developing and executing policy or program initiatives; implementing positive solutions to controversial issues; analyzing policy information; creating long-range goals and objectives; collaborating with diverse groups to achieve cooperation toward program priorities; advising senior leaders; and communicating with key stakeholders..
Time-In-Grade: Current career or career-conditional employees of the Federal government, or former career or career-conditional employees, who have a break in service of less than one year, are required to meet the time-in-grade restriction of one year of Federal experience at the next lower-grade, with few exceptions outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b).
You must meet all Eligibility and Qualification requirements, including time-in-grade restrictions and any selective placement factors if applicable, by 03/18/2024.
