We perform audits, evaluations, & investigations of the EPA to promote economy, efficiency, and to prevent and detect fraud, waste and abuse. We strive to provide solutions to problems that ultimately result in making America a cleaner and healthier place.

Duties

This position is located in the EPA OIG, Office of Special Review and Evaluation, Programs, Offices, and Centers Oversight Directorate.

Qualifications

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. Applicant must possess one (1) year of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level of GS-14 or equivalent band level in the Federal Service. Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following: GS-15:   1) Leading and overseeing multiple teams in the planning and execution of assignments in accordance with industry inspection and evaluation quality standards; 2) Conducting complex program evaluations in accordance with industry inspection and evaluation quality standards; 3) Using advanced analytical and evaluative methods to identify areas of improvements in economy, efficiency, effectiveness, that can be made in agency statutes, regulations, guidance, policies, procedures, or practices; AND 4) Writing clear and concise reports with developed findings and recommendations in accordance with industry inspection and evaluation quality standards. Evidence of the above specialized experience must be supported by detailed documentation of duties performed in positions held.
