Salary: $104 861 - 136 323 per year

You will serve as a TECHNICIAN in the LOGISTICS AND LIFE CYCLE ENGINEERING of NAVWARSYSCEN ATLANTIC CHARLESTON SC.

Duties

You will be responsible for activities related to the planning and oversight of integration and operational acceptance testing of wired interior communications systems. You will develop innovative methods, approaches, and/or procedures. You will be responsible for short- and long-range planning resource management of functions an In-Service Engineering Activity ensuring integration of services and day to day technical operations. You will provide analytical and diagnostic techniques, qualitative and quantitative techniques for developing new or modified work methods. You will provide support to Ship to Surface Ship Integration Division, Interior Communications Integrated Product Team Lead. You will provide approaches or procedures and related emerging practices and methods sufficient to provide comprehensive management advisory.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or NR-04 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: experience in design development, integration, operational demonstration, managing corrective and routine preventative maintenance, and in-service support of interior communications systems.
