Duties

Career-Seasonal appointments are permanent positions and include the same benefits as Career appointments, but do not provide work on a year-round basis. You will work from approximately April through September, and you will be in a non-pay status for the remainder of the year. The major duties of this position include: Carpentry or woodworking jobs, such as painting and maintaining road signs, cutting and fastening boards, drywall installation, window and door installation, roofing, and building concrete frames. Preparing and painting interior and exterior surfaces. Completing electrical installations, troubleshooting, and repairs such as installing fixtures, replacing fuses and light bulbs, and installing light switches and outlets. Completing landscaping and grounds maintenance such as cutting grass with push/riding mowers, using weed eaters, power blowers, and pruners. Performing masonry jobs such as pouring and finishing concrete, patching potholes, and using mortar, tile, brick or cinder-block in construction applications Operating motor vehicles.
