As a Supervisory Safety & Environmental Management Specialist you will serve as the Chief, Safety and Environmental Management Branch (SEM), Facilities Management Division (FMD), Rocky Mountain Region, with responsibilities for the management of the region-wide safety and environmental programs.
Location of position: Public Buildings Service, Facilities Management Division in Region 8.
We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.

The GS-14 salary range starts at $122,198 per year and varies by location.
To qualify at the GS-14: Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is serving as the technical expert responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating safety and occupational health and safety programs for commercial, public, or government office buildings. This experience includes:
Interpreting and implementing guidelines, standards, policies and engineering criteria for safety programs;
Reviewing project plans, specifications, and designs in order to advise on safety issues for construction and repair and alterations projects;
Conducting risk analysis of building operations to develop solutions that ensure a safe environment for occupants and comply with applicable life and safety codes;
Evaluating performance and providing recommendations for life and work safety programs to ensure compliance with relevant fire safety and safety and occupational health laws and regulations;
Managing inspections of buildings and workspace to ensure compliance with applicable work safety codes, policies, regulations and laws.
