You will serve as a MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Conversion and Repair of SUPERVISOR OF SHIPBUILDING BATH.

Duties

You will receive visitors/telephone calls and respond, exercise knowledge, tact and discretion in ascertaining the nature of business to determine whether it requires the personal attention of the Program Manager or Deputy Program Manager. You will act as liaison between the Program Manager and Deputy Program Manager and other personnel in the office. You will provide administrative support and coordinate administrative, security, protocol and other work for the Program Manager and Deputy Program Manager. You will extract, analyze and compile data into reports and presentations extracted from test programs, engineering drawings. and production progress. You will evaluate current and recommend changes to the Program Manager/Deputy Program Manager on the organization, process, and procedures for providing administrative support for records, communications, directives, forms, files, and documentation. You will make all necessary arrangements for travel and submits travel vouchers for the Program Manager and is the local POC for all LCS project personnel. You will coordinate VIP visits, including lodging, transportation, facilities, shipyard briefs, tours and ceremonies, as required. You will serve as the Office Equipment Manager for the Detachment. You will serve as liaison to the PCU, coordinating logistics, vehicles, transportation, hotel management, security, safety and administrative issues. You will serve as the resident security assistant managing access control, personnel and information security and overall security awareness at the Detachment.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final SECRET security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: "Assisting in the evaluation of administrative and management processes and problems through analysis or studies to recommend solutions for organizational structure, administrative procedures, or work processes."
