You will serve as a EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (INSTALLATION EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT) in the MISSION ASSURANCE DEPARTMENT of MARINE CORPS AIR STATION YUMA.

Duties

You will oversee an emergency management program to ensure work is completed in accordance with program requirements. You will develop plans, processes, training, exercises, and procedures for emergency management programs. You will partner with other managers and supervisors to coordinate the development of emergency management processes. You will analyze current emergency plans to identify inefficiencies and recommend solutions to improve procedures. You will maintain a working relationship with county and state emergency agencies to ensure proper planning and response. Coordinate emergency training to ensure emergency response readiness within the command.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.
  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Developing a multi-level National Incident Management System (NIMS) compliant training program; 2) Developing and maintaining emergency plans, annexes, appendixes and procedures; 3) Analyzing and revising emergency management policy and procedures to address inefficiencies; and 4) Designing and implementing emergency management training to ensure response readiness.
