You will serve as a EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (INSTAL EMERG MANG) of MARINE CORPS AIR STATION YUMA.

Duties

You will oversee an emergency management program to ensure work is completed in accordance with program requirements. You will develop plans, processes, or procedures for emergency management programs You will partner with other managers and supervisors to coordinate emergency management work.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.
  • The work requires the employee to drive a motor vehicle and have a valid state driver's license
  • Must possess or be eligible for and then maintain a secret clearance
  • Will be required to make TAD trips with short notice of both short and/or long duration.
  • Travel during natural disasters or military contingencies may be subject to hazards.
  • Travel requirement may include traveling outside normal working hours on weekdays, weekends and holidays

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1)Develops an installation multi-level National Incident Management System (NIMS) compliant training program; 2) Maintains the installation's emergency plan, annexes, appendixes and procedures; 3) Ensures all plans and exercises incorporate planning, preparedness, incident response and recovery; 4) Formulates installation emergency management policy and guidance and instruction for management Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management web site: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/#url=List-by-Occupational-Series Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).
