The position is located within the Department of Veterans Affairs, Office of Research and Development in Charleston, SC. The position coordinates committee/subcommittee processes, coordinates program operation reports, manages merit review application processes, and orders equipment, supplies, and services needed for the organization.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 03/14/2024.
You may qualify based on your experience as described below:
Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-06 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: assists with coordination of committee and subcommittee meetings (I.E. schedules meetings, creates agendas, creates meeting minutes, tracks decision and recommendation implementation), manages protocol request receipt, logging, editing, and preparation of committee review materials; coordinates compliance audits; assists with process enhancement by making suggestions for forms and procedure updates.
AND
In addition to meeting experience requirements, applicants for the Program Support Assistant (OA) position must verify they are able to type at least 40 words per minute.

Education
