Duties

This position is located in the Division of Hydropower Administration & Compliance in the Office of Energy Projects. As a Data Analyst, some of your typical work assignments may include:

Requirements

  • You must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • A background investigation is required.
  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • Generally, male applicants must be registered with the Selective Service.

Qualifications

To view the eligibility and qualification requirements of a Data Analyst, GS-0301, please visit: Data Analyst  You must have one full year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 level. Specialized experience is defined as: experience analyzing and organizing data and creating reports using Microsoft Power BI. Selective Factor: This position has a Selective Factor, which is a skill, knowledge, ability, or other characteristic essential for the job's satisfactory performance. The Selective Factor represents the minimum requirements for this position and is a prerequisite for appointment. Applicants who do not meet the Selective Factor are ineligible for further consideration. Selective Factor: Your resume must demonstrate experience analyzing and organizing data and creating reports using Microsoft Power BI. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
