About the Position: This position is with the National Guard Bureau, Facility Services, Arlington, VA.
About the Surrounding Area: Situated in Northern Virginia on the south bank of the Potomac River directly across from Washington D.C. Arlington is headquarters to many departments and agencies of the federal government, including the Department of Defense and is the location of many national memorials and museums.
Duties
Develop annual projected budgets for the organization’s programs.
Develop policies and standards for reporting automotive support equipment maintenance and operation costs.
Research local traffic patterns to refine and approve plans for parking lot closings, detours and other construction requirements.
Conduct research in order to draft correspondence on Command views and policies for installation wide distribution.
Develop brochures and other marketing materials on commuting alternatives for staff members.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- The employee may be required to work overtime on an emergency basis.
- May be required escort and supervise vendors in classified areas.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes advise on a wide range of transportation polices for program implementation; interpret transportation policies and guidance for the command; make recommendations to resolve transportation issues; and provide instruction and guidance to employees on transportation regulation/policy changes.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
