You will serve as a INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the MATERIAL CONTROL BRANCH, MAINTENANCE DEPT of STRIKE FIGHTER WING PACIFIC STAFF.

Duties

You will perform a full range of logistics support for the staff and subordinate commands. You will track, expedite and update status of mission critical parts; manage cannibalizations required to achieve readiness requirements; conducting extensive and exhaustive research and making purchases. You will expedite parts from NAVSUP WSS, DLA, NAVICP and all other sources that the multi-million dollar F/A-18 requirements are requisitioned from. You will compile and analyze supply data to provide accurate updated daily status reports. You will analyze data, apply procedures, requirements, regulations, policies and best practices in order to make sound recommendations related to Supply functions in the work of the unit. You will complete research to determine and validate an annual budget.

Requirements

  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing inventory management support (i.e. defining requirements, researching, and ordering mission critical parts) by analyzing and tracking accountable inventory to provide logistics support and to meet mission readiness requirements. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree
OR
