This position is located in the Division of Risk Management Supervision (RMS), Operations Branch, Washington, DC and will serve as an advisor for the Division's supervisory mission and by providing analyses, development, testing, and implementation efforts, and related recommendations for the most complex IT related services, automated tools, and systems.

Duties
Works with senior and executive management across Divisions to ensure that the Initiative’s technical requirements, such as those relating to enterprise architecture, security, integration, data, back-log sequencing, and other strategies in consideration or development are successfully aligned.
Advises senior management on how to resolve technical risk issues arising from automating the supervisory end-to-end business processes by conducting complex analyses that impact dependent processes or other systems.
Works closely with senior Washington, regional, and field management, as well as other FDIC staff in order to determine capabilities needed for effective examination and supervisory tools and systems.
Works with other FDIC Divisions and contractors to define/modify tools, systems and applications.
Provides examination and supervisory expertise in analyzing, developing, and implementing automated tools and systems.
Leads all technical aspects of the Initiative throughout the life of the project (high level data/reporting requirements, system design concepts, software solutions). Actively participates in design discussions and develops business capabilities. Analyzes the impact of proposed solutions across existing technology platforms.
Qualifications
Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the CG/GS-14 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as 1) managing or overseeing systems development projects to enhance business processes and operations; 2) performing analyses on dissimilar data sets, including financial institution data; and 3) creating and delivering technical reports through data extraction across multiple platforms.
