This position is located in Office of Audience and Distribution Strategy (GPA/DC/ADS), Deputy Assistant Secretary (DAS) of Digital Content, Bureau of Global Public Affairs (GPA), Department of State (DoS). The incumbent provides in-depth implementation and analysis of GPA-supported digital media marketing and advertising efforts.
Duties
Manages aspects of the Office’s, and by extension the Bureau’s, graphic and audio-visual content testing,
marketing, and advertising, including standalone materials and content that compliments text and other
elements in an integrated whole.
Carries out assignments independently, resolves most conflicts which arise, coordinates the work with others as required, interprets policy and regulations, and keeps the supervisor informed of progress and potential
controversies.
Monitor trends in social media tools and digital diplomacy and applies them to the Department digital
communication strategies.
Coordinates content postings and messaging with other Department community managers, as appropriate, to ensure consistent and cohesive messaging across the organization’s other digital channels.
Coordinates basic campaign materials including fact sheets, news releases, feature articles for magazines and trade papers, radio and television scripts, motion pictures, and other materials.

Qualifications
Applicants must meet all the qualification requirements described below by the closing date of this announcement.
Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position.
Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience creating and managing marketing campaigns within Google Ads Manager, YouTube for Business, Meta Ads Manager, and LinkedIn for Business.
Experience utilizing first- and third-party research and data using such tools as SEMrush, Google Trends, Meltwater, Google Analytics, etc. to build, optimize and report on integrated advertising campaign strategy and execution.
Experience negotiating strategy approvals and obtaining ad copy creative asset clearances from multiple stakeholders across a large organization.
There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-13 position.
