About the Position: Serves as Project Manager responsible for the overall management, control, coordination, and execution of assigned projects, implements corporate decisions, guidance, laws, regulations, and policy in the development of the project and intermediate products in support of the program.
Duties
Serves as a project manager responsible for managing the efficient and effective coordination and accomplishment of the planning, scoping, design, construction, and direction.
Controls and manages project milestones and budgets from initial studies through construction and initial operations.
Keeps customers fully informed of project progress, issues and their resolution, and any impacts on costs.
Coordinates the planning, design, cost engineering, construction, and environmental restoration, etc., for assigned projects of substantial scope.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent must obtain and maintain possession of or ability to acquire a valid state driver's license.
- May be required to perform up to 25% temporary duty (TDY) travel to remote and/or foreign project sites.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes includes experience working with Project Management processes and policies of assigned projects; managing the efficient and effective coordination and accomplishment of the planning, scoping, design, construction, and direction of assigned projects; managing project milestones and budgets of assigned projects. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
