As a Program Support Assistant you will perform a wide-range of administrative duties in support of the office staff while providing competent care, sound judgment, skill, and professionalism. Relationships with supervisors, co-workers, and other VA employees must be consistently courteous, cooperative in nature, and overall contribute positively to the effective operation of the office.
Duties
Answer phones and greeting walk-in customers.
Respond to telephone contacts by providing factual information on EEO complaint policies and procedures
Administrative control and tracking of incoming and outgoing office communications.
Maintain correspondence control tracking records and suspense.
Scan appropriate data correspondence a in the automated tracking system.
Review outgoing correspondence for appropriate conformance with VA regulations.
Establish a filing system for maintaining a hard copy of the investigation file.
Requirements

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

GS-07 level: To qualify, applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade (GS-06) in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Specialized experience is defined as work that involves (1) Creating reports and correspondence for an office; (2) Assisting in completing travel vouchers for employees; and (3) Approving purchases of supplies for an office.
