You will serve as a SUPERVISORY INTEGRATED PREVENTION COORDINATOR in the FAMILY READINESS DIVISION, FLEET & FAMILY SUPPORT PROGRAM of NAVSTA MAYPORT.
Duties
You will advise command leaders on suicide prevention program areas (e.g., training, intervention, response, reporting).
You will coordinate interactions between leadership and staff to verify collaboration is occurring to meet counseling and advocacy customer needs.
You will serve as command spokesperson or representative to promote public awareness on sexual assault, suicide, or domestic violence.
You will conduct education and training on matters involving suicide prevention, stress and anger management, or substance abuse to maintain mission readiness.
You will collect data to identify trends and organizational needs to support the military or civilian community
You will interpret directives and instructions on domestic violence, child abuse, and neglect to verify local family advocacy programs are in compliance.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1.Applying knowledge of the social sciences as related to integrated prevention programs in order to evaluate, consult, advise in a variety of settings; 2. Conducting effective prevention program activities to prevent destructive/problematic behaviors and promote healthy climate; 3. Leading collaborative efforts with diverse internal and external stakeholders and foster buy-in for crosscutting efforts to include senior leader support and advocacy; 4. Identifying needs, trends, and performance measures to evaluate program effectiveness and provide recommendations for process improvements. Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess:
Successful completion of a behavioral or social science degree, or a degree in a related discipline appropriate to the position being filled
OR
A combination of education and experience that provided knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field
OR
Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrates knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
