About the Position: The Anniston Army Depot is located in Anniston, Alabama in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountain chain halfway between Atlanta, GA and Birmingham, AL just off Interstate 20. The Depot is the largest employer in Calhoun County with approximately 4000 employees.

Duties

Serve as a lead worker performing installation, modification, and repair of complex electronic control and indicating systems. Perform installation, modifying, and repair in Numerically Controlled (NC) equipment, Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) equipment, Robotics, Automated Storage and retrieval systems and a variety of electronic test equipment. Develop and submit for approval changes to detailed schematics, drawings and maintenance procedures for use by lower graded employees. Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) software such as the Facilities and Equipment Maintenance (FEM) system to maintain maintenance and repair records for industrial plant equipment and machinery.

• Federal Wage System employees, WG/WL/WS etc, must satisfactorily complete the appropriate annual Depot Medical Examination.

Incumbent is required to push, pull, reach, walk, stand, crouch, kneel and climb for substantial period of time. Work also involves occasionally working in awkward positions. WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is usually performed in buildings that are moderately heated and occasionally outside where there is exposure to weather elements. Buildings have concrete floors and there is noise from running machinery. There is possibility of cuts, scrapes, bruises, and burns. Incumbent wears such protective equipment as safety glasses, shoes and gloves.
