You will serve as a PROGRAM COORDINATOR of NAVY SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT ACTIVITY. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.

Duties

You will serve as an operations lead for assigned organizational projects and participates as an operations subject matter expertise. You will propose, develop, and implement operational activities based on project objectives and requirements. You will develop new methods and procedures for transitioning developmental activities into operational application and develops measuring project accomplishments, results, and measures of effectiveness. You will serve as a project lead consisting of multiple project responsible for coordinating with and assigning segments of project workload to team participants. You will recognize problems, develop recommendations and solutions, and oversee corrections within assigned specialty, work effectively in a team environment. You will have exceptional experience expressing information orally and in writing to individuals or groups; organizing and actively leading meetings; and providing briefings, often to General or Flag Officers and Senior Executives.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a final TS/SCI security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • You must acknowledge in writing that you are accepting an appointment in the excepted service which does not confer competitive status, prior to appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) coordinating requirements and policy with higher headquarters, Service components, Combatant Commands, mission partner organizations, resources providers, and other Government agencies 2) orchestrating policy development, analysis, resource management, customer engagement, human capital management, organizational training and travel, reporting, and briefings 3) Experience with project management and organizational skills to include requirements management, schedules, budget, evaluation of deliverables, and training 4) verbal and written communication skills to include detailed grammatical editing of policies and documents 5) managing headquarter staff personnel 6) overseeing service contracts.
