This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies through the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base Facilities and the Major Range and Test Facilities Base in the DoD. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Duties

You will be responsible for transportation management actions including arranging the movement of materials. You will coordinate the movement of over-dimensional freight with proper state and local regulations. You will identify inaccurate charges to ensure charges are valid an in accordance with carrier rates. You will ensure all files and logs are maintained properly.

Requirements

• Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
• Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Experience applying a general knowledge of transportation regulations and laws that relate to the movement of material and use of commercial carriers or commercial services by various modes of transportation. Examples of experience may include some or all of the following: 1) Utilizing automated data systems to process shipments, bills of lading and preparing routine and/or specific documentation requests; 2) Reviewing delivery requirements to book commercial trucks, planes, trains, rail water and other transportation services; 3) Following regulations to resolve a wide range of transportation discrepancies; 4) Determining mode of transportation for hazardous materials; 5) Computing shipment costs in accordance with carrier rates.
