You will serve as a SAPR COMMAND VICTIM ADVOCATE (SAR WF) in the Training and Education Command, Marine and Family Programs of TRAINING AND EDUCATION COMMAND.
Duties
You will provide professional and comprehensive advocacy services to individuals exhibiting a wide variety of issues related to being a victim or survivor of sexual assault.
You will explain each of the reporting options available, including the exceptions and/or limitations on use applicable to each, and rights of a victim.
You will conduct assessments with clients to determine required needs, evaluate safety and levels of risks.
You will develop and implement appropriate plan of action in crisis situations.
You will provide clients with information, referrals and applicable resources available.
You will assist victims with prioritizing actions and establishing short-and-long-term goals related to recovery from sexual assault.
Requirements

- You will be required to possess and maintain a current valid United States drivers license.
- In accordance with DoDI 6495.03, you must be able to obtain and maintain D-SAACP certification.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance in accordance with DoDI 6495.03 investigation requirements.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- May travel up to 25% of the time to complete work assignments, conduct or attend meetings, training events, site assist visits or court hearings.
Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Education Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing sexual assault advocacy services; developing and implementing crisis plan of actions and sexual assault assistance plans; assisting with developing and coordinating SAPR prevention and awareness campaigns or events; and conducting education and training sexual assault workshops/seminars.

Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual. Applicants must possess:
Degree: behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position.
or
Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
or
Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
- successfully completed 2 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree or master's or equivalent graduate degree;OR
- combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
