You will serve as a ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the Logistics, Quality and Materials Management Branch, Code 3432, USW Electromagnetic Systems Department of NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV NEWPORT RI. If selected, you will support the ILS and CM requirements within Code 34.
Duties
You will serve as a senior configuration management specialist for Submarine Electromagnetic Sensor Systems.
You will review program requirements, mission and program objectives, operational requirements and other fundamental program plans and documents.
You will formulate a comprehensive approach to system and equipment logistics management for Submarine Electromagnetic Sensor Systems.
You will plan from the concept development stage through the operational development stage of assigned systems or equipment.
You will plan, coordinate and conduct logistic support planning on all periscope tests of complex,
experimental, new or modified mechanical equipment/subsystems/systems in the laboratory and onboard ship.
You will review existing documentation to determine the need for and/or availability of special test equipment or facilities needed for successful test completion.
You will ensure that an effective Configuration Management (CM) program is developed for configuration identification, configuration control and configuration status accounting is established for all programs and projects assigned.
You will maintain updated packages for all programs, develop ECIs (engineering change instructions) and ECPs (engineering change proposals) for all changes requirement for system installations, updates/ modifications.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position requires sitting for long periods of time.
- Light carrying under 15 pounds may be required.
Qualifications
For the NT-04: Your resume must demonstrate at least one-year specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-03 (GS- 09/10 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying logistics management principles to identify resource requirements in support of the development of undersea warfare systems.
For the NT-05: Your resume must demonstrate at least one-year specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS- 11/12 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing and evaluating logistical support and requirements to develop or adjust plans in order to reduce life cycle cost and improve readiness of undersea warfare systems.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience at the NT 4 level only, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
OR
Three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
OR
An LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled.
