Organizes and exercises control over subordinate employees, assigns work to subordinates based on priorities, and works closely with Project Planning, Programming and Engineering.

Responsible for the operation, maintenance and repair of BAK-12 Aircraft Arresting Systems and Airfield Lighting Systems. Builds/schedules preventative maintenance programs; capable with Work Management Systems, input and analysis. Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities, complies with applicable Federal Regulations, Occupational Health/Safety rules/practices, security requirements. Administers performance management program responsibilities, ensuring employee performance plans, progress reviews, and appraisals are accomplished in compliance with AF guidance and timeframes.

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management positions located here SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-02 or equivalent to the next lower grade GS-11 in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is coordinating and/or leading a wide variety of complex and/or major work requirements and providing supervision, leadership and direction to subordinates by delegating specific authority to carry out their respective responsibilities while establishing employee performance standards, conducting performance appraisals, and establishing leave schedules and approval guidelines.
