Serves as a Visual Information Specialist at a Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) HQ facility. The primary purpose of this position is s to serve as a visual information specialist providing authoritative technical advice to the Agency's managers on controversial, complex, and difficult matters involving the Consumer Insight Program as expressed through social media.
Duties
Develops and distributes visual media information in support of the Agency's brand marketing and business initiatives.
Serves as a visual information specialist responsible for planning and directing the preparation and presentation of digital and printed media, including the sales circular.
Anticipates and meets the needs of both internal and external customers.
Manages milestones, deadlines and scheduling for multiple simultaneous projects.

Qualifications
You must meet the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) qualifications for series 1084 and additional requirements by the announcement closing date. Your resume must clearly show that you have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade. Experience can be under other Federal service pay systems, private sector, or military.
Experience: Your resume must clearly show that you have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11.
Examples of qualifying experience include:
Utilizes modern technology and social media delivery techniques in the fields of video, sound, pictures, and art presentation.
Manages projects and develops launch strategy to drive increased market research.
Provides professional graphic support to the Agency's messages delivered through all media platforms to include print, social media and web.
Proficient in visual and graphics applications including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Fireworks, and other Adobe Creative Cloud applications.
You will receive credit for all relevant qualifying experience (paid and unpaid), including volunteer work done through National Service program (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
Additional Requirements that must be met by the closing date:
Physical requirements: Although some slight physical effort may be required at times, the work is primarily sedentary in nature and does not require any special physical effort or demands
Time-in-grade applies to the promotion of current and former federal employees who hold or have held a permanent GS position in either the competitive or excepted service in the previous 52 weeks, including current employees applying under VEOA. For GS-12: You must have 52 weeks of Federal service at or equivalent to GS-11.
Time after competitive appointment.
