You will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) in the CYBER ENGINEERING AND ADVANCED TECH DIV within the TEST AND EVALUATION DEPT of NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV KEYPORT WA.
Position will be working Information Systems Security Engineering (ISSE) and NAVY Validator tasks. 3 years A&A experience using the Risk Management Framework is prefered.
Duties
You will independently complete Vulnerability Assessments of information systems using established processes and automated tools.
You will prepare documentation in accordance with approved testing, certification and accreditation processes to record compliance status with National
Agencies, Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of Navy (DoN) requirements.
You will investigate non-compliance issues and provide recommendations to effect compliance with National Agencies, DoD and DoN requirements.
You will work closely with system developers to effect implementation of recommendations.
You will negotiate and provide recommendations to Certification, Testing, Accreditation and compliance authorities to attain Approval To Operate evaluated systems.
You will lead and support Branch Projects related to improvements in internal and external processes related to Information System Security.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 612 level Journeyman within 12 months of appointment.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector managing a cybersecurity program providing program administration, compliance and risk assessment. In addition, your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
