You will serve as a Supervisory Information Technology Specialist for the Small Business Administration, Office of Disaster Recovery and Resilience, Disaster Data Analytics and Information Technology Division in Washington, District of Columbia. The employee manages the Headquarters, Information Technology Branch staff and is accountable for the overall success of the Disaster Recovery and Resilience Project Management, Program Management, IT contracting support programs.
Duties
As a Supervisory Information Technology Specialist at the GS-2210-14, some of your typical work assignments may include:
Executing the Office of Disaster Recovery and Resilience (DR&R), Disaster Data Analytics and Information Technology Division (DDA&IT) enterprise program and performing management duties including but not limited to leading, coordinating, communicating, and integrating all component projects.
Providing expert advice and recommendations to guide senior Small Business Administration (SBA), Office of Chief Information Officer (OCIO) leaders in the selection, integration, and sustainment of systems and platforms.
Developing Office of Disaster Recovery and Resilience (DR&R) plans, procedures, and standards to strengthen and improve the agency's relationships with Federal, state, and local agencies whose programs impact the delivery of disaster assistance through information technology.
Making recommendations regarding program improvement for functions such as the maintenance and improvement of computerized record-keeping, and the analysis and reporting of data.
Providing advice, assistance, and support to the Associate Administrator and the Deputy Associate Administrator for Office of Disaster Recovery and Resilience (DR&R) on issues relating to IT Enterprise Architecture matters across DR&R and SBA.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
This is a Permanent position, which is a competitive service status position with a full-time work schedule.
Salary will be determined and include applicable locality adjustment based on the location where the position is filled.
If required to travel to a disaster site, you may encounter hazardous working and/or living conditions, for example, no water or electricity and/or minimal lodging facilities.
A valid driver's license may be required.

Requirements

- A one-year supervisory/managerial probationary period may be required.
- This position is not included in a bargaining unit.
- You may be required to complete a one-year probationary period for non-supervisors if you fail to complete the one-year supervisory/managerial probationary period.
Qualifications
*Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. If qualifying based on related unpaid (e.g. volunteer service) experience, you must provide hours worked per week and beginning/ending dates (mm/yyyy to mm/yyyy).
Federal status applicants must meet both Time-In-Grade AND experience requirements by the closing date of this announcement. However, if you have separated from the Federal Government for at least 52 weeks, you are not subject to the Time-in-Grade requirement.
Time-In-Grade Requirement:
GS-14: Must have held grade GS-13 for 52 weeks

Individual Occupational Requirements
Basic Requirement:
Applicants must have IT-related experience demonstrating the following competencies equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the GS-13 level in the Federal service. Your resume and work experience should support your ability to meet the competencies listed below and will be evaluated as part of the entire application process.

Experience:

GS-14: To qualify you must have at least 1 full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the GS-13 level in the Federal service that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skill, and ability to perform successfully in this position. This experience may have been gained in a Non-Federal service position. In addition, this Specialized Experience must demonstrate the following:
Tracking contractor deliverables and deadlines, monitoring contractor quality of work, and/or identifying contractor performance issues;
Implementing, monitoring, and/or enforcing IT security controls for an organization;
Issuing and implementing policies, regulations, and/ or other guidance which affect the IT infrastructure; AND
Supervising and/or leading an IT project(s)
Education
There is no educational substitution at this grade level.
