In this position, you will be a Grants Mangement Specialist for the Tribal Services Section of the Planning, Engineering, and Tribal Services Branch within Region 8. You wull support tribal partners with the administration and monintoring of Hazard Mitgiation Assistance grants specifically the Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities (BRIC) program, Flood Mitigation Assistance (FMA) program, and the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP).

In this Grants Management Specialist (Tribal) position, you will This position will primarily focus on working with and supporting the Region 8 Tribal partners, coordinating within the Mitigation Division for sub-application review, advisement and outreach to Tribal applicants and sub-applicants, coordinating solutions and project application review with internal Regional partners. Qualifications

To qualify for this position at the IC-12 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the IC-11 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the Federal or Private Sector and must demonstrate all of the following: Reviewing and/or analyzing grant documentation and/or financial status reports; Monitoring grants management operations to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations or policies; and Awarding, administering, and/or monitoring federal grants. To qualify for this position at the IC-13 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the IC-12 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the Federal or Private Sector and must demonstrate all of the following: Managing and directing work in support of a natural hazard mitigation program; Applying concepts and principles associated with natural hazard risk reduction; and Communicating federal requirements to tribal, state, and local stakeholders.
