Duties
You will serve as a member of the installation staff, receiving requests for internal news coverage from the military services
and DoD agencies, and making decisions on coverage and placement.
You will serve as a photographer and/or videographer for news related events or official military functions.
You will respond to information requests from news media in written and oral form.
You will manage installation web site, coordinating, reviewing, and approving content, as delegated, for publication.
Requirements

- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizes graphical software and equipment to design and produce color presentations in multiple media. 2) Selects a variety of visual materials such as photographs, illustrations, and video to communicate information to the target audience. 3) Monitors sites for feedback such as comments and questions and provides appropriate information in return. And 4) Manages inventory, operation, and life cycle management of a variety of state of the art still cameras, and other equipment and systems relating to public affairs.

In lieu of specialized experience, you may also qualify with the following education:
For GS-11:
Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in a field that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position being filled.
OR
Successful completion of three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in a field that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position being filled.
OR
Successful completion of an LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled.
OR
Have a combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
