This position is located at the US Mint, Headquarters - Office of the Director/Financial Directorate/Human Capital Division/Staffing Programs Branch. As a Supervisory Human Resources Specialist, you will serve as the Chief of the Staffing Programs Branch.
Duties
As a Supervisory Human Resources Specialist, you will:
Serve as a first-level supervisor, supervising approximately three (3) Human Resources Specialists, GS-13
Plan, schedule, and assign work to subordinates, including establishing guidelines and performance expectations for staff and regularly providing feedback
Coach and mentor employees to develop and identify training and developmental needs and opportunities
Evaluate employee performance and disciplinary measures as required
Responsible for developing and managing the implementation of HR policies in support of Mint staffing, classification, and compensation program requirements
Qualifications

The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Specialized experience is one year of experience at the GS-13 level or equivalent in the federal service, that is directly related to the position as listed in this announcement and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience is defined as:
-Experience performing a variety of human resources functions such as: compensation, SES staffing, recruitment, and performance management; AND
-Experience overseeing the development and implementation of human resources policies; AND
-Experience with strategic planning, especially in the area of classification, staffing and recruitment, and position management; AND
-Experience planning and managing the work of subordinates.
In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-14 you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks.
