You will serve as a TRAINING TECHNICIAN in the NAVAL OCEANOGRAPHIC OFFICE of NAVOCEANO BAY ST LOUIS.
Duties
You will serve as a Training Technician providing technical support to the employee development function.
You will coordinate and publicize training notifications for on-site training courses.
You will monitor the enrollment status of all training classes notifying the training specialist when classes need to be cancelled due to insufficient nominations.
You will provide standard information on regulation and policies governing eligibility for training, on expenditures of funds incidental to training, and other related matters.
You will coordinate with training vendors and ensure classroom and other requirements including: location, course material delivery, and required training equipment is available.
You will hold a government purchase card and serve as backup to the training specialist to ensure prompt payment of training invoices.
You will review vendor invoices and reimbursement claims in WA WF and serve as Acceptor prior to invoice/claim being processed for payment by budget.
You will maintain an established office file system for training records, correspondence, reports, publications, directives, and similar materials as required.
You will prepare a variety of forms, memos, letters, instructions, and other correspondence related to Training Office tasks. Maintain Training Office files, ensuring the files are complete, accurate and easily accessible.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience collecting and inputting data into a training database and submitting monthly input to the Command to update official civilian training records.
Experience utilizing and maintaining Survey Monkey systems or similar systems to administer training evaluation programs and ensure training participants received links to training evaluations.
Experience with WAWF (Wide Area Workflow) for acceptance of vendor invoices.
Experience with ASM (Advanced Skills Management) in documentation of employee training.
Experience entering, and pulling completion reports from the Navy Training Management Program System (NTMPS) and Total Workforce Management Systems (TWMS) or similar systems (Excel).
Experience utilizing and maintaining a government purchase card, preparing training invoices for payment, verifying charges, and communicating corrections with training vendors to resolve incorrect charges.
