You will serve as a Training Technician in the Training Division, Naval Oceanographic Office of NAVOCEANO BAY ST LOUIS.
Duties
You will be responsible for coordinating and publicizing training notifications for on-site training courses.
You will inform supervisors, administrative officers, and employees of the availability of various training programs.
You will be responsible for coordinating with training vendors and ensuring classroom and other requirements.
You will review training forms to ensure that all required information is provided and accurate.
You will collect and input data into the training database and submit monthly input and update official civilian training records.
You will hold a government purchase card and serve as a backup to the training specialist to ensure prompt payment of training invoices.
You will maintain an established office filing system for training records, correspondence, reports, publications, directives, and similar materials as required.
You will provide training to new employees and checking that are entering into the command correctly.
You will prepare a variety of forms, memos, letters, instructions, and other correspondence relating to training office tasks.
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Develop and maintain excel databases and spreadsheets to track and report annual career training activities.
Utilize training evaluation program using Survey Monkey, build new surveys when directed, pull performance information of specific vendors, quality of classes, and other training related information, and provide survey results to management.
Gather invoice documentation in order to verify charges and communicate corrections with training vendors.
Provide information to vendors and employees required for submission of invoices or reimbursement claims in Wide Area Workflow (WAWF)/ iRAPT, the Navy payment system. Review vendor invoices and reimbursement claims in WAWF and serve as acceptor prior to the invoice or claim being processed for payment by the budget.
Maintains command training documentation in the Advanced Skills Managment (METOC) Navy Training Online Record (ASM/ASM/MENTOR) system, and NAVOCEANO Individual Development Plan (IDP) Databases.
Must be well organized and present strong oral and written communication skills.
