The incumbent serves as the National Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Manager, managing a comprehensive EAP and serving as the Agency's focal point for all programs that fall under the EAP umbrella. As a subject matter expert, he/she directs projects/programs/activities and shares responsibility for the performance of programs/projects that affect more than one LOB/SO and the FAA as a whole.

Duties

The incumbent manages a comprehensive employee assistance program (EAP) and is the Agency's focal point for all programs that fall under the EAP umbrella. Major duties include providing advice and guidance on EAP programs and services provided via the Agency EAP contract. Consults with, advises, guides, and assists all levels of management regarding all EAP functions. Conducts Senior Leader, management/supervisory, and employee EAP orientations and briefings as well as coordinates FAA-wide communication on EAP programs and resources available to the FAA workforce. Collaborates with and provides assistance to the Regional EAP Coordinators on the execution of their areas of responsibility (Substance Abuse Rehabilitation/Treatment Program, Critical Incident Stress Management Program (CISMP), Violence in the Workplace Issues Program (VIWP), and various Work-life programs). Serves on or leads workgroups responsible for EAP programs and issues. Provides a wide range of administrative and analytical duties of substantive function to improve overall program effectiveness for the workforce. Performs other related duties as assigned. Applies experience and expert knowledge of substantive programs, goals, policies, and processes to accomplish work assignments.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-I, FG/GS-13 level. This experience is typically related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been at least equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.Specialized Experience-Experience serving as a Contracting Officer Technical Representative (COTR).-Experience providing policy interpretations on complex EAP issues.-Experience preparing and delivering presentations to the workforce on EAP functions.You should include relevant examples of the specialized experience in your work history.
