This position is located in the Wireless Telecommunication Bureau (WTB), Broadband Division (BD), Federal Communications Commission (FCC) located in Gettysburg, PARelocation expenses will not be paid. THIS VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT MAY BE USED TO FILL ADDITIONAL POSITIONS WITHIN 90 DAYS.

Duties

Participates in the oversight of the licensing process by reviewing and making recommendations on ways to improve and streamline the process.

Qualifications

OR B. Specialized Experience Applicants must meet at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level in the Federal service to qualify for the GS-11. For this position, Specialized Experience includes the following: 1) Research and analyze complex information to ensure compliance with rules and regulations to evaluate policies, guidelines, regulations and precedents (e.g. wireless telecommunications systems and licensing functions). 2) Writing correspondence and reports in a clear, concise, organized, and convincing manner for the intended audience using automated systems to obtain and verify information (e.g. wireless telecommunications systems, automated database systems, or licensing systems). 3) Interacting with diverse groups or communicating in writing clear reports and correspondence for diverse international and domestic professionals. 4) Experience in using software applications such as word processing and databases expressing information (e.g. ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively. GS-12 Specialized Experience GS-12-Applicants must meet at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal service to qualify for the GS-12. For this position, Specialized Experience includes the following: 1) Analyzing wireless broadband licensing applications for compliance with rules and regulations. 2) Researching and conducting analytical studies to evaluate and recommend ways to improve the electronic licensing process. 3) Writing technical information to be included in reports pertaining to wireless broadband services. 4) Interacting with various individuals such as industry and/or government officials and the public.PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
