About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the ST-IC-W6A6AA US ARMY INTELLIGENCE AND SECURITY CMD, US Army Intelligence and Security CMD, Mission Support Command, ACOFS, G-2.

Duties

Act as the primary technical advisor to the ACOS G-2, Deputy ACOS G-2, Staff Management Officer, subordinate commanders and staff on all issues involving human resources management, strength management and program management Administer a variety of civilian human resources programs within the US Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM), G2. Work with Force Management on multiple Tables of Distribution and Allowances to include the realignment of positions in order to track, report and manage assigned strength Administer the task management system for the INSCOM G2.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by nmanagement.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on a T5 (or equivalent level) investigation with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
  • Temporary Duty (TDY) Travel may be required 5% or less of the time

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience with providing personnel advice in the areas of planning, policy development, work methods and/or manpower utilization. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-12).
