About the Position: Provides necessary office automation expertise in support of the ACS automation efforts in a data processing environment using microcomputers.
Duties
Support Army Community Service (ACS) personnel in a multi-hat position performing various support duties for reoccurring problems, which
can be network, user, or software related.
Assist ACS personnel on the functions of office automation software, including word processing, spreadsheets, publishing capabilities, graphics,
and electronic mail and calendar.
Work on optimizing the functionality and performance of computers, notebooks, scanners, fax machines, projectors, web cams, and printers for
ACS personnel
Serve as Computer Lab Maintainer, Supply Officer, Property Book Officer, Safety Officer, Mail Distribution Officer, and alternate Fire Marshall for
the ACS building.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a military drivers license.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Specialized experience is defined as: One year of specialized experience which includes performing administrative support functions using word processing, spreadsheet, and/or databases; and providing support services such as providing customer support to users for information systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
